A bit buggy to be sure and I can't figure out what sets it off. Try
copy/pasting the object to a new document and trying it there.

Is Adobe addressing this? It was working and suddenly stopped. Doesn't help to try a new document - capability is just gone. Since I use this quite a bit, it's more than a little inconvenient. Would appreciate a response.

I believe that the problem is that it won't work past the 12th page of a document. Why such a strange an apparently arbitrary limitation, I don't know.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that Adobe is aware of this and is working on a fix. I have no clue when such a fix will be available. I'm somewhat surprised that we've not yet seen a dot release for CS4.

Now that you mention it...I did have that problem on a longer document.

This is happening to me to. And creating a new document and trying to add the two objects is not working for me. I tend to copy/paste vector graphics from Illustrator into Indesign and once I paste them in Indesign I am not always able to Pathfinder:Add the two. It's driving me crazy. Yes, I could just import the .ai file or PDF with the graphics but I tend to edit the vector graphics once in Indesign. This way I don't have to link images.

My work around is to jump back to Illustrator and use Pathfinder there and then copy/paste back into Indesign.

Hope this helps.
